A few people commenting on the workshops so far list have observed that there's a distinct lack of workshops in a couple of commonly-filled areas (e.g. poly, tantra, BDSM).
I'm happy to co-host a poly-themed workshop (I'm not quite sure I could do one on my own!): does anybody want to pair up with me for some kind of poly-related workshop? We could put together a "poly for beginners" or a "poly experience-sharing" or even a "legal issues in poly" workshop. I'm easy! (or so they tell me)
But I can't do it alone! Any volunteers? Post a reply or contact me privately if you're interested. And if you can't help, but you'd like to see something poly-related, post a reply to let me and the swarm of prospective volunteers (I know you're out there somewhere) know what it is you'd like to see!

I would definitely love to volunteer for this if I'm at BiCon. I can make a point of attending whatever poly discussions happen. (have been happily and actively poly for something like 7 years now...)
But there is a question of whether I'll be able to attend; we actually might need to be packing to move back to the States. And so I'm holding off on registering or buying rail tickets until the last minute. Ergo I can't actually promise and would not want to commit to something I wasn't absolutely sure I could make good on.
The other caveat would be if the Poly workshop were scheduled during something BDSM-related, as I really do want to attend anything along those lines.
(yoo-hoo...anyone coming forward to give any BDSM workshops yet?)

Soon as you know if you can make it to BiCon, if you're still interested in running a workshop with me, let me know. I'm sure the organisers will be willing to try their very hardest to not let it clash with anything BSDM-related if we ask them nicely (and in sufficient time).

as there seem to be lots of them and i suspect we can all learn from eachother's experiences on what works, what doesn't and the odd horror story on the things that come up and really cause problems unexpectedly..
a general discussion session rather than a formally "run" hing could be fun.

(to BiCon Organisers: and we'll fill your little form in very soon, I promise)

It's my first BiCon, so I'm not planning on running anything, but a part of my intention is to promote Polyday, so at the very least I'll poke my head in!
It sounds like it may be a good session though. Good of you to step up! :)

Will you be there on the Thursday?
If you are, there will be a general information stall and I would be happy to let you put some Polyday flyers on that stall.
If you aren't, then email me sanji@bicon2009.org.uk and I'll give you the address to post some to and I'll put them out on your behalf.
